When the St. Patrick Parade steps off Sunday, March 17, it will mark the 22nd consecutive year the St. Patrick Society of Peoria has put on the parade. “It’s a fun parade,” said Tim Doyle, society president and parade chairman. “There are a lot of families and homemade floats. People who watch it have as much fun as the people in it. There is a lot of camaraderie, with the same families.”.......more

Nancy Frisby Clarke, former Peorian, has probably spent more time in the White House than any President though she’s never run for public office. Since 1978, when she volunteered during President Jimmy Carter’s second year, the Woodruff High School graduate has been a part of the White House Residence Staff.
